Through generous tuition assistance, financial aid, and convenient transportation options, a Little Flower education is within reach for families across Philadelphia and the surrounding region.
In addition to need-based tuition assistance, we offer a variety of scholarship opportunities made possible by the extraordinary generosity of our alumnae, donors, and community partners. These opportunities are made possible through annual scholarship gifts, endowed funds, scholarships established in honor or memory of cherished members of the Little Flower community, and partnerships with external scholarship organizations.

Apply for Need-Based Tuition Assistance Through FACTS
- FACTS Aid applications for the 2026-27 school year may be submitted starting October 1, 2025, through May 1, 2026.
- Families must reapply each year to retain current awards.
- All families are encouraged to apply. To access the FACTS website, please click the link below.
Please note, tuition assistance awards are contingent upon:- 2024 Income Tax/Income Verification: If you have a sizable decrease in income for 2025 or 2026, please submit the modification with FACTS for redetermination.
- Little Flower tuition packages are based on financial eligibility determined by FACTS Aid. If total scholarships and grant awards from outside funding sources are in excess of 60% of LFCHS’s total tuition, we reserve the right to retract the financial aid portion of your daughter’s award.
- Various funding sources such as Affinity relationship grants, BLOCS, Ellis, and/or other outside funding sources.
- Maintaining satisfactory grades, attendance, conduct, and timely tuition payments.
- Scholarships & grants shall not exceed the cost of base tuition. School-related fees are the responsibility of the parent(s)/account owner(s).

Scholarship OPPORTUNITIES

Scholarships ranging from $1,750 per year to full tuition are awarded to eligible prospective students who have taken the High School Placement Test (HSPT).
Archdiocesan Elementary and Independent Mission School students will take the HSPT at their school in the fall. All public, charter and private school students must register to take the exam in October to be eligible. For more information visit:

Throughout its history, working-class families in the City of Philadelphia have trusted Little Flower with their daughters’ education. We recognize and appreciate that decades-long relationship through offering various grants. Those interested in applying for any of the Affinity Scholarships must apply by December 31, 2025.
NOTE: Affinity Group Grants (Legacy Grants included) may not exceed $2,000 annually for any student, despite eligibility.
Little Flower Legacy Grant
Any student whose whose mother, grandmother, or aunt graduated from Little Flower will be offered a grant of $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to thank these women for continuing our fine tradition.
North Catholic/Cardinal Dougherty Legacy Grant
Any student whose parent(s) graduated from North Catholic or Cardinal Dougherty will be offered a grant of $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to honor the storied connection between those schools and Little Flower.
Veterans Grant
Any student whose parent(s) are military veterans (active or retired) will be offered a grant of $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to honor their service to our country.
First Responders Grant
Any student whose parent(s) are First Responders (police, fire, emergency services) will be offered a grant of $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to honor the service of our men and women in uniform. First responders have long supported Little Flower as the safest and best option for their daughters.
Building Trades Grant
Any student whose parent(s) are members of the Building Trades in Philadelphia will be offered a grant of $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to honor the contribution of these working men and women to our city.
Municipal Workers Grant / Philadelphia Federation of Teachers.
Any student whose parent(s) are employed by the City of Philadelphia or the School District of Philadelphia will be offered a grant of up to $4,000 ($1,000 per year) to honor their service to the City of Philadelphia.

Partial scholarships ($7,000 over 4 years/$1,750 per year) are awarded to students demonstrating excellence in service and leadership and who are working to the best of their intellectual ability. One student from each Archdiocesan, public, charter, and IMS elementary school may be recommended by her teacher or grade school principal. (Schools with more than 20 girls in their 8th-grade class may nominate more than one student.) Non-Catholic schools may also nominate a student. Awardees are typically notified by February.

Little Flower offers partial scholarships ($8,000 over 4 years/$2,000 per year) for students entering the Fine Arts Program. Categories: Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, and Art.

This grant is for full time employees of the Archdiocese who work in a parish, school, or AOP setting. The grant is for high school tuition. In order to be considered employees must fill out the Archbishop’s Grant application (on the AOP website) and a FACTS application.
The deadline is December 31.

The purpose of the Cardinal Dougherty Soccer Alumni is to remember, honor, and celebrate all aspects of Cardinal Dougherty Soccer Alumni. Another key goal is to give back to our surrounding soccer community and alumni members when financially possible. To be eligible for these scholarships the student must be a child or a grandchild of a CD alumni, play soccer and attend a Catholic school. The criteria to be considered for the scholarship is based on the student “exemplifying the qualities of education, dedication, good sportsmanship and team leadership."
To apply for this $1,000 scholarship the student is required to submit an essay explaining how he/she demonstrates the criteria of this award as well the importance of education in their lives. Also, please include contact information of one coach, one teacher and a parent as well. Contact information should include: name, phone number and email address. Essays need to be no more than 1,500 words, be written in a Google or Word Document and are to be emailed to [email protected].

The CCF scholarship is an external scholarship open to incoming freshmen (for both High School and College awards) or a first year medical student. The applicants must have a minimum of 25% Italian heritage along with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Applicants must provide the parent and/or applicant's most recent Federal Tax Return documents (2022 tax year), applicant's Student Aid Report (SAR) from the 2023-2024 FAFSA application (if applying for our College or Medical School Scholarships), three (3) letters of recommendation from professional and/or academic contacts along with the applicant's most recent, or current, semester's report card or transcript.

Children and grandchildren of active or retired Police Officers are eligible for the Corporal Jimmy O'Connor Memorial Fund, administered by the Norphans.

The Firefighter Daniel Sweeney Memorial Scholarship is an external scholarship open to all students, without regard to race, sex, national origin or religious beliefs. Our only intent is to help families with the education of their children. A selection committee has been established and all scholarships will be awarded based on the financial need and merit of the applicants.
Applications for the Sweeney Scholarship are due by April 30th each year.

Ellis Grants provide financial aid for girls from single-parent families or families with one or more parents who are certifiably disabled, living in the Philadelphia area. Specific income guidelines are available on their website. The online application for the 2026-27 school year will be available online at www.ellistrust.org effective January 1, 2027.
The 26-27 submission deadline is March 15th. Students are required to maintain a 75 average in their subjects. Students must reapply each year; Ellis grants are not automatically renewed.

Nick and Lorie Howley formed the Howley Foundation in 2001, with the intent of helping students, regardless of economic means, receive the best education possible. The Howleys firmly believe that education is one of the most important catalysts to promote positive change in individuals and society as a whole. The Howley Foundation awards scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic accomplishment and have significant financial need. Certain criteria are required to maintain the scholarship. Families must also apply to FACTS to be considered for this scholarship.
Scholarship Requirements:- The criteria for academic excellence require at least a cumulative 85 average utilizing the final grades of the 7th grade and the first trimester or equivalent of the 8th grade at the time of application.
- A final conduct average of 85 or above during the first trimester or equivalent of the 8th grade.
- Total Score-National Percentile (NP) of 70 on the Seventh Grade TerraNova test (or the equivalent) is required. Exceptions will be made, by mutual assessment, on a case-by-case basis.
- The recipient of a Howley Scholarship must have demonstrated financial need of at least $5,000. This financial need must be supported by the family’s application submitted to FACTS Grant and Aid.
- Minimal absences and lateness.
- Extracurricular participation and community service participation will be considered favorably for a candidate’s selection.

The Monsignor Mitchell Scholarship Fund will support high school students in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who are Catholic and African American, have academic ability and financial need. One (or more, if economically feasible) one-year scholarship(s), up to $2,000, will be awarded annually based upon the determination of the Selection Committee. The Alumni of Northeast Catholic High School (Philadelphia, PA), the Norphans, provide $500 grants to children and grandchildren of North alums through the Norphan Grant.

Our Lady of Port Richmond Matching Scholarship
Recommended students from Our Lady of Port Richmond (OLPR) are eligible for matching grant opportunities to reduce the cost of a high school tuition.
Year 1: OLPR provides $2,000, Little Flower provides $2,000 for a total tuition reduction of $4,000
Years 2-4: Little Flower will provide a $4,000 grant throughout the remainder of your daughter’s high school career to match the grant amount with which she entered.
Students recommended by OLPR must maintain strong academic standing (overall 85 B average or higher), excellent attendance and punctuality, exemplary conduct, participation in required service, and the family must have an history of timely tuition payments to be eligible for all Little Flower scholarships or aid.

Snider Hockey participants accepted into the Breakaway Scholarship Program during their final year of middle school will receive a one-year scholarship to cover full or partial tuition and school fees at one of Snider’s partner high-performing private and vocational secondary schools.
To be considered for the scholarship, a student must have participated in Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education prior to the end of 6th grade and must qualify financially.
This scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years if students continue to meet eligibility criteria.

Laurence and Phyllis both grew up in South Philadelphia. Lawrence was a draftsman who worked for Raytheon Corp. He was a great role model. Phyllis was a homemaker and a great role model model to her family. They both believed in education and would be proud of the scholarship their family created.
