Students from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls were highlighted for their participation in a unique digital experience with Pope Leo XIV during the National Catholic Youth Conference.
Student participants in Little Flower High School's Klarich Center for Academic Excellence display plants grown using vertical farming methods as part of the program offerings. The center is named after former Little Flower principal, Sister Kathleen Klarich, a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy.
Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalyx Hunt stepped in to help the Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls basketball team after hearing the girls needed a sponsor to help the team. Hunt spoke about what fuels him to give back to the community.
On Saturday Febuary 3rd Aubrey Davila '26, Nicole, Bagniewska '24, Lily Mackin '25, and Bridget Comas '25 were a vital part to the All Catholic Chorus. At the banquet they received certificates and pins for thier dedication to their achievements and studies in vocal performance.
The St. Katharine Drexel Shrine hosted an essay contest in December, which received 234 submissions. We are so proud to share that our very own Campbell McClusky's essay won the contest! Campbell is the very first recipient of the Drexel Shrine Mission Award! She was honored during Mass at the Cathedral. We are so proud of Campbell!!
After a nearly two-year hiatus, Kiara Santos gathered with a group of five others to put out the publication again. The 22-year-old communications student was asked to lead the effort and she did.
Two ninth and two tenth grade classes benefited from the expertise of professional actors during the week of January 24th. Paul Harrold and Bill LeDent from the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater enthusiastically shared their knowledge and skills with the students.

Dave Livewell is a poet, recipient of the T.S. Eliot Award, finalist for the Anthony Hecht Prize, and has been awarded fellowships by the state of New Jersey for poetry. He will be coming to read to the students, and I am about to broach the possibility of him visiting some classrooms.
